November Stitch Fix

I received my third Stitch Fix this week and again, I loved it! If you don't already know what Stitch Fix is, you can read this post or go to their website. Essentially, it's an online styling service. They send you five items monthly, bimonthly, or whenever or how often you'd like and you can keep what you like and send back what you don't. You can let your stylist know what you're looking for and even send them a link to your Pinterest account for ideas. With every fix, you are charged a $20 styling fee but that fee can be applied towards your purchase, so hopefully you fall in love with at least one thing! If you love all five items, you get 25% off the whole box! I love Stitch Fix because it's given me the chance to try things outside my comfort zone while providing me with clothes and accessories I love and fit me well. This is my third fix and every one gets better and better.

Item #1: Look by M Sammie Plaid Infinity Scarf

I received my first infinity scarf in my last fix and immediately loved it and wore it everywhere. The only thing better than a scarf is an infinity scarf. I was excited I received another one this fix!

I love the plaid and the colors! My last one was a plain knit scarf so it's nice that this one is a little more exciting. Kept!

Item #2: 41Hawthorn Elaine 3/4 Pleat Waist Dress

I asked for a dress I could pair with some boots. I was hoping to have something for Thanksgiving. I had a hard time deciding whether or not I should keep this.

This dress fit perfectly. I loved the color and I loved the pockets. However, I did not love the price. I don't mind paying more for a dress I love, but I just didn't feel like this dress was special enough for $74. Plus, the zipper was very fussy. I may kick myself later, but I ended up sending this back.

Item #3: 41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Cardigan

I wasn't crazy about this when I took it out of the box, but the great thing about Stitch Fix is the ability to try things you wouldn't normally try. As soon as I tried the cardigan on, I knew I would keep it. It's soft, comfortable, and I have nothing like it.

Yes, I know the cardigan looks great with the dress; another reason why I'll be kicking myself for sending it back.

My stylist, Zoe told me these would look great together and she was right. I may have to go out this weekend to search for a blue dress.

Item #5: 41Hawthorn Georgia Crew Neck Raglan Sweater

When I opened my box, this was my favorite item. But then I tried it on....

It was too big! The sleeves were way too long and it just looked too boxy on me. This is the first item I've received that size was an issue. Everything else has fit me just the way I like. Oh well, can't win them all. I sent this back. Cute sweater though, right?!

Item #5: Kut From The Kloth Paige Skinny Jean

I've been afraid to ask for jeans because it's so hard to find the right fit for my short legs and wider hips. When I saw these, I immediately thought they would not work. But they felt so soft, stretchy, and comfortable. I put them on and they felt magical and they fit PERFECTLY.

Here they are with both the cardigan and scarf I kept. I probably should've gotten a better picture of the jeans themselves, but these are the most comfortable jeans I've ever put on. Kept!

So, I ended up keeping 3 out of the 5 items. Since I kept everything last fix, it was better for my bank account to just keep a few items. Overall, I was very pleased with this month's fix and I can't wait for the next! If you want to try Stitch fix, please use my referral link. I can receive a $25 credit for referring you and you can do the same for others once you sign up!

Thank you, Stitch Fix!

Howl-o-ween

I just got back from a trip to Richmond this weekend. My friend Megan was visiting some family and I decided to tag along to see my brother and see what night life is like in Richmond. We went out to some clubs/bars for Halloween and learned an important lesson: We are no longer as young as we once were. After being out till 2AM and drinking awful rail vodka, we woke up the next morning with a nasty hangover. What happened to the days when we could party all night and do it all over the next day? Those days are over but to be honest, I'm glad.

This is what the rest of the weekend consisted of. It was perfect <3

But enough about me! One of my favorite things about Halloween is seeing everyone in their costumes and of course, seeing pets dressed up in costumes! I know some people are against dressing up their dogs, but seriously..... it's adorable.

Rolo had a few costumes this year.....

Rolo the Reptile

Rolo the football "Rufferee"

For my office's annual Client Appreciation Day we always do around Halloween, my manager and I decided to dress up as Mario and Luigi. So naturally, Rolo needed to be included in this theme as well.

King Koopa

How amazing is his costume?? My very talented coworker made this for him and it's the best thing I've ever seen!

Time to start thinking about costume ideas for next year!
